Official shoes of the Discovery Pro Cycling team are Nike. The Poggio4 is preferred by many but the Lance shoe launched March 2004 was designed after consultation with Lance to be used in conjuction with the Shimano Dura Ace SL Pedal also with major input from Lance.

Bontrager wheels have featured in the armoury of Lance and his Discovery team. One of the most used is the Bontrager Aero. For the mountain stages the super light Bontrager xxx-Lite carbon tubular model at a mere 1100gm produces rapid acceleration especially in montain stages, Bontrager tyres feature on all Trek road bikes.

Trek supply the Discovery team bikes the OCLV frame model 5500 has been used with great success until the more recent development of the latest carbon addition to the Trek range the Madone 5.9 with superior Aerodynamic characteristics.
